Shared Promise
The people and families served by the African Center are not just consumers; they are also partners and members of the emerging newcomer community. The organization’s operational philosophy is based ion support and empowerment with the belief that the end result will lead to a shared promise to work together for a dynamic vision of the community’s future and together to secure that future.
The Tastes of Africa™ was created in 1999 as an annual event to promote the rich and authentic cuisines from Africa. The event allows participates to partake in the tasting of foods and different cultures representing different parts of Africa. The event also features modeling show and exhilarating sight and sounds. In addition, the Tastes of Africa™ has become a torch bearer for charity; raising funds and friends for Africa and serving the people mostly in need.
